Vinyasa is yoga that moves. Instead of holding one pose for a long time, you flow from one shape to the next, linking each movement to a breath: in as you lift or open, out as you fold or release.
That steady rhythm builds some heat and strength, and keeps your mind busy with breathing and moving. So it’s a good fit if you want a real workout and a calm hour at the same time.
The word comes from Sanskrit and is often described as “placing in a special way.” In practice it means putting your poses together with care, and moving between them with your breath.
You don’t need to be flexible, and you don’t need experience.
What to expect in a Kind Flow class
A Kind Flow class runs for about an hour. We begin on the floor with the breath and a gentle warm-up, then move through a few sun salutations to build heat. From there the class flows through a few sequences, working toward one challenging pose. We finish with a cool-down and a few quiet minutes of rest.
All levels are welcome. Mats and blocks are provided, so just bring yourself and a water bottle if you like.
